I recently bought a semi glock269mm. Is that a weapon would be effective against an intruder?

I live in a rural area, and recently the crime rate has increased. So I Bought a semi glock26 9mm pistol. I have a very large piece of property and I practiced and practice. Well, I guess the best answer is how dead do you want the bad guy. Point 9mm + p hollow cause serious damage "to a hacker himself, wherever you have them.
