Is 2.7million volts too much power for a stun gun at any Amps?

My friend works at a Gas station in a bad part of town and ask if i would buy her a stun gun. but if im gona buy her a stun gun its not gona be a little tickler, i found one at 2,700,000volts but i think that might just be too much, any comments? Any ideal what would be a good choice as to power?

The best thing to do is look at consumer reviews. There are many more considerations besides the voltage and/or current capacity, like how easy it is to fire, both accidentally and on purpose.. how small it is, what type of batteries it requires, etc.

Technical portion of my opinion: I don't know whether to believe a claim of 2.7 MV anyway. It takes energy to affect an attacker, and energy is power delivered over time. Power is the product (multiplication) of voltage and current. For a fixed amount of power, any time you raise the voltage, you lower the current, and vice versa. Consider the link below: it's a generator that delivers 5 MV and can be used recreationally! You just put your hand near it and draw arcs that don't hurt, plus it makes your hair stand up all funny. That's not the kind of thing that will disable an attacker! To do that with so much voltage would require more power than most small batteries contain.

Far more practical is to use just enough voltage to jump an inch or two, just enough to penetrate clothing, which ends up being about 50 to 100 kV (a kV is a kilovolt, or a thousand volts). Using the same battery, a 100,000 volt device can deliver 10 times the current, which for reasons I won't go into translates to 10 *squared* (100) times the power, as compared to a 1,000,000 device... all else being equal. That's why so many stun guns are designed to deliver their power in this range.

Also, for a fixed amount of energy available, you can deliver a lot of power for a short time, a little power for a long time, or the way Tasers do it is to deliver brief bursts of high power with pauses in between. Definitely consider this as you weigh your options as well.

More important than any numerical parameter is how likely you are to be able to save your life with the thing. A Glock 9mm pistol is likely to beat any consumer stun gun any day of the week. The next best thing is probably the new consumer Taser (pricey but powerful) shown below.
