A question for people who own a gun for self defense (rather than hunting)?

Ok, this is a question for people who own a gun that they keep for self defense from other citizens, as opposed to hunters or people who own a gun to protect themselves from the Feds, etc.

No I wouldn't switch! Some liberal would complain about the new weapon complaining that we have an unfair advantage against criminals!

Look at all of the objections against the police for using stun guns tasers! There are some idiots out there that want homeowners and police totally defenseless! Right now if a cop uses a taser to bring down a villain there are nuts out there who will try to destroy that cop! So, what is the choice when confronted by a criminal who intends to hurt you or someone else - shoot him or taser him? Either way there are nuts out there who will complain!

When criminals have harmless weapons then perhaps homeowners should have them too! Can you guarantee that a criminal type will only attack you with a weapon that stuns you?? Stuns you then rapes you if you are a woman? Stuns you and steals every cent you have! Stuns you and kidnaps your children! I think it is just better to blow this @sshole away and save the government some trial money!
